Natalie’s Story

“My name is Natalie and I am 25 years old who has been diagnosed with Alopecia since I was two years old. During my younger years, I would have at most one or two bald spots at a time,When I started getting closer to puberty I noticed a progression of the disease. Doctors put me on numerous steroid treatments that resulted in awful side effects. At the age of 13 I was over weight (due to steroids),had a mouth full of braces, and absolutely no hair. I was very fortunate that I was able to grow my hair back and maintain it until  I was 21. At that age my hair fell out again, but then regrew a year later. Now at 25 my hair has fallen out for the third time.

During this past summer of 2014 I took a big leap of faith and moved from my home of Central New York to Tampa. Moving to Tampa helped me realized that I wanted to become someone new, a “Natalie 2.0”. Through conversing with a co-worker I learned about LGC hair restoration. I decided to meet and have a consultation to learn about new wig options. I had currently been wearing synthetic hair pieces but knew that I wanted to wear real hair. Real human hair wigs tend to be more natural feeling /looking, when compared to synthetic. However the problem with real human hair wigs is that they can be very expensive. When I met with Laura Craig, the owner of LGC, we discussed all of my options for hair pieces, Laura was determined and SUCCESSFULLY found me a beautiful human hair wig I could afford.

For those of you that are “Wig Shopping” I want you to know why I chose LGC hair restoration. Firstly, I want you to know that that I am a very proud bald individual. I am not afraid of walking around without hair in public, especially  in the sweltering heat of Florida. I have collected plenty of usable hair pieces over the years of being bald. My decision to purchase a hair piece from LGC was not singularly out of need, but because of the quality of the hair  and the character of the business. When I met Laura I realized that selling wigs was not her primary goal, it was actually about caring and supplying a better quality of life for those in need. If you are interested in purchasing a hair piece I fully and whole heartedly suggest that you go to LGC hair restoration.”
